This week: two Aussies seal an incredible year in Christian music with an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and one of the most played American acts on Australian Christian radio is set to headline Easterfest 2013.
For King & Country
Australian Christian music duo For King and Country will make its late night debut on national network TV across America and the world early next year.
The duo will perform their top ten hit The Proof of Your Love on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 10.
Last week, iTunes released its Best of 2012 list naming For King and Country’s debut Crave as the “Breakthrough Christian & Gospel Album of 2012.”
Amazon.com also just announced its “Best Music of 2012” list and named “The Proof of Your Love” as “Christian Music’s Song of the Year.”
For King and Country Manager David Smallbone says that the past year has been an incredible one for the Aussies.
Easterfest 2013
American band Sanctus Real is among the headliners returning to Easterfest in 2013.
The Toowoomba-based event is a celebration of Easter that – according to organisers – attracts “tens of thousands” of Christians annually.
Sanctus Real previously played the festival in 2010, and is best known for the songs Forgiven, Lead Me, We Need Each Other, and their current hit, Promises.
Lead singer Matt Hammitt says they can’t wait to return.
Others acts scheduled to appear in 2013 include: Audio Adrenaline, Peter Furler, Luminate, LeCrae, and jazz great James Morrison.
