The Book of Proverbs meets the Digital Age | November 12th, 2014 12:28 PM
So, #cyberproverbs are a thing. Short pithy statements, like the proverbs in the Bible, but about the modern, and often digital, world.
Using the hash tag #cyberproverbs, Tweeters are creating a set of modern day proverbs about the use of social media and the trials of technology.
It’s a bold new way to bring the wisdom of the Bible into the over-saturated digital world we live in.
While they are essentially not the Bible, they help the reader remember that a life lived wisely includes those parts of our lives that we conduct online.
And as a bonus, several of the cyber proverbs make you chuckle.
WIN! Why not wield your pen and get in on the #cyberproverbs action?
Write your own #cyberproverb and do one of the following:
1. Tweet it with the #cyberproverbs hashtag and tag @eternitynews OR
2. Share it with us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/eternitynews) as a comment OR
3. Email it to us at eternity@biblesociety.org.au with #Cyberproverbs in the subject line
… to go in the running to win a $30 gift voucher for Bible Society Australia’s online bookshop.
The winner will be notified by email on Monday 17th November. Bible Society Australia and Eternity reserve the right to post submitted #cyberproverbs on our social media platforms, with attribution to the writer.
