Will you commit to 16 days of prayer against domestic and family violence? | November 24th, 2015 02:57 PM
Common Grace, a Christian group passionate about Jesus and justice, is calling on all Christians in Australia to commit to 16 days of prayer against domestic and family violence starting on Wednesday November 25, White Ribbon Day.
On White Ribbon Day, Australians are invited pin a white ribbon to their shirts, and stand up for the elimination of violence against women.
The Common Grace campaign coincides with the start of the United Nation’s 16 days of activism against gender-based violence campaign, aiming to galvanise action to end violence against women and girls around the world.
As part of the Common Grace 16 days of prayer campaign, you will receive daily emails with statistics, stories and prayer resources, each day covering a different aspect of the wide-ranging impact of domestic and family violence.
Common Grace says, “Collectively we’ll be learning about and praying for those impacted by and those seeking to address domestic and family violence: from women of all cultures and backgrounds, to women’s shelters, and police and frontline responders. We will also be posting images on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter that can be shared with your social media community.”
