Wanted.
Someone who loves God, who loves news, especially Christian news, who loves writing and who loves managing a team.
Eternity News is on the lookout for a fabulous, creative, talented journalist/editor to take our digital news service to even greater heights!
Could this be you? Or do you know someone who could fit that description?
This is a managing editor role. It is busy. It is demanding. The person is likely to thrive under pressure, have a passion for the art of storytelling and obviously a keen interest in people and the Church.
The journalists in the team are fabulous (if we don’t say so ourselves) and get great satisfaction out of crafting a narrative that is not only relevant to the Eternity audience but also hope-filled, inspiring and newsworthy.
The new Managing Editor would oversee the production of content, foster a culture of excellent Christian journalism and set the tone of the content across all of Eternity’s channels.
Eternity is part of Bible Society Australia, which is based in Sydney. However, location does not necessarily rule worthy candidates out of contention.
Just be warned – if this is you, you have very big shoes to fill as this position was formerly held by John Sandeman, Eternity’s founder and Managing Editor for the past 13 years. John has not walked away from Eternity in those big shoes; he has just hung up his responsibilities. Apply and help Eternity continue to be the preeminent Christian journalistic voice in Australia.
