Kanye West has won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Jesus is King at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
West was up against Hillsong Young & Free’s All of My Best Friends at the world’s biggest music awards ceremony, as well as albums by Cody Carnes, Tauren Wells and We The Kingdom.
The award was West’s 22nd Grammy win, which crowned him the most awarded hip-hop performer in the history of the Grammys.
At the Billboard Music Awards in October last year, West and Jesus is King won Top Gospel Artist, Top Christian Album, Top Gospel Album and Top Gospel Song.
“Thank all my Christians who’ve been praying for me,” West said in a video acceptance speech. “Praying I would serve.”
