'What a Beautiful Name' is now a kids book
Grammy-award winning song becomes bedtime reading
Hillsong Worship’s Grammy-award winning song What a Beautiful Name has transformed into a whimsical picture book for kids.
The book – also titled What a Beautiful Name – is a collaborative effort between songwriters Brooke Ligertwood (formerly Brooke Fraser) and Ben Fielding, along with their spouses Scott Ligertwood and Karralee Fielding.
The beautifully designed picture book translates the well-known words of the hit song, recorded in 2016, into a rhyming story.
Readers travel into space with best mates Oliver and Leo on their mission to discover an elusive name, the ‘Name above all Names’, according to the book’s official website.
The idea for the book began several years ago when Scott Ligertwood – who illustrated What a Beautiful Name– began sketching ideas for a storybook with “the pursuit of Jesus at the centre”.
His wife Brooke, who has two children with Scott, explains in an Instagram post:

After workshopping the idea with the Fieldings over a breakfast table in rainy New York City in 2018, the book came to life.
Ben Fielding, who has three children with wife and co-author Karalee, said he hopes the book “will deepen the understanding and knowledge of the love and goodness of God for and towards the little ones in your world”:
