Koorong has an exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to help manage our West Ryde Pages café. The successful person will work together with our Café Manager and hardworking Café staff to achieve outstanding results for our busy café.

Role Specifics:

• Full-Time role – 38 hours
• Candidate must be available Tuesday to Saturday, working across opening and closing hours

(store trading hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8am-4.30pm, Thursday 8am-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm)

This key person is responsible for supporting the Café Manager in overseeing all daily operations and administration of the café. Their main purpose is to ensure the café is a successful business that provides exceptional service to existing and new customers. This role will require an Assistant Manager that can work independently and at times with minimal coverage.

Preparing high quality food and beverages to food safety standards and WHS guidelines is essential. Staff supervision, involvement in rostering, managing café budgets and expenditure is also an important part of this role.

Key Criteria:

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar hospitality role looking for the opportunity to help manage a cafe. Significant awareness of WHS and food handling hygiene standards is essential.

We are looking for a hard worker with a customer-focused approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Solid organisational skills and the ability to focus on completing tasks on time is also highly valued. An Assistant Manager who can make the perfect cup of coffee is welcomed as we also require a candidate with great Barista skills.
