Position Description

This role will require the successful candidate to be a part of our Sunday morning church service.  Our church is an intergenerational community, so we would expect you to have a love for people of all ages.
The range of responsibilities the role might encompass include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting the Senior Pastor with church administration and as required
• Preaching
• Pastoral Care
• Assisting with and developing children’s ministry
• Assisting with church social media and communications
• Being an effective and contributing member of the Pastoral Team

 The Person We Are Looking For

The Candidate must have a love for God, a love for people, and a pastoral heart to see them grow in their relationship with Christ. In addition, the following are required:

• commitment to KCBC’s doctrine, vision, values, and beliefs
• Pastoral philosophy of equipping and discipling, with a relational style of leadership and ministry  
• a heart and passion to see people come to faith and grow as disciples of Jesus.
• willingness to lead a Life Group
• a theological education or in the process of pursuing theological education
• personal discipline in time management, a team player, an active member of our church and able to work under direction, but without direct supervision
• commitment to a team approach to ministry including delegating responsibility to team members
• strong teacher with a love for God’s word
• commitment to personal development including personal spiritual study
• would ideally have musical ability to serve in worship ministry (although this is not essential)
• a current Working with Children Check clearance

 Other relevant information

This role involves:

• 24 hours per week (negotiable – potential to increase)
• Attendance at all 9.30am Sunday services.
• Availability for meetings as required
