Bible Society Australia (BSA) is providing this opportunity to a person who is passionate about championing the Bible. We are seeking a part-time (3 days a week) Engagement & Promotions Officer to share the love of the Bible with Indigenous Australians in Darwin and remote rural Northern Territory communities.

Reporting to the Remote & Indigenous Ministry Support (RIMS) Production Co-ordinator, this key role will assist with the production, marketing and distribution of BSA scripture resources within indigenous communities.

To succeed in this role you will need to establish strong contacts with Aboriginal Christian Leaders, their communities and work in partnership with BSA’s many Mission Partners, including AuSIL (Australian Society for Indigenous Languages), Wycliffe Bible Translators and various churches in the Northern Territory.

Key Criteria:

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate:

  • Passion for Jesus and to see his mission at work in Indigenous Australia
  • Experience and demonstrated ability and desire to operate effectively in cross-cultural settings
  • Experience within Church ministry environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, demonstrably used with remote stakeholders
  • Superior communication, influencing and relationship building skills
  • Organised approach to planning, prioritising and time management
  • Basic computer proficiency in office programs and use of social media applications
