Role Summary
The Enrolment Office is the first point of contact for families looking to provide their child with a William Clarke education. Our families value the College’s commitment to individual care in a Christ-centred context and the Enrolments Officer will ensure that a personalised experience is provided.
This role directly reports to the Director of Enrolments and forms part of the College’s wider marketing and communications team led by the Head of Marketing and Communications.
Key Responsibilities
- As one of the key ambassadors of the College, the Enrolments Officer must be aligned to the College’s purpose statement and embody the inclusive and welcoming culture the College community fosters
- This position is responsible for key aspects of the enrolment function, including responding to enrolment enquiries, processing applications and assisting in the preparation of enrolment interviews
- Provide an experience to prospective families that consistently delivers a passionate customer service ethic (is warm, welcoming and energetic) as well as strong, timely communication (both telephone, email and face-to-face)
- Assist with the organisation of school tours, information evenings, expos and other key enrolment activities, as required
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and be sensitive to people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
- Work collaboratively and effectively alongside the Director of Enrolments
Skills / Knowledge / Attributes
- Confident, engaging, relational person with senior business administrative experience in the independent education or tertiary sectors (preferable)
- Familiarity with the education sector and an awareness of the current educational marketplace and its impact on school enrolments and marketing
- Commitment to continued professional growth and development in this area
- Superior communication skills, with an understanding that information can be sensitive and often of a highly confidential nature, requiring a degree of judgment, tact and diplomacy
- Outstanding customer service and strong communication skills
- High quality administrative skills with the ability to manage a number of competing tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines
- Manage multiple priorities
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy of output
- Exercise a high degree of judgment to resolve problems, particularly with respect to the urgency of inquiries or problems requiring the Director of Enrolment’s attention
- Commitment to team work
- Experience and proficiency using a large scale database e.g. Synergetic or similar
