Gladstone Baptist Church (GBC) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic pastor to join our team, with a particular focus on Youth and Young Adults ministries. The successful applicant will share their time between GBC, 4 days per week, and its largest ministry, Trinity College, 1 day per week.

GBC role
The Youth & Young Adults pastor will report to the Senior Pastor, and will work closely with other members of the pastoral team and ministry co-ordinators. The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Grow, encourage and equip members of the leadership of Youth and Young Adults ministries by motivating, training and mentoring them in the discovery and development of their gifts for ministry
- Facilitating pastoral care for leadership of Youth and Young Adults ministries
- Develop and communicate ministry strategies in the area of Youth & Young Adults
- Oversee budgets, reporting and policies associated with Youth & Young Adults
- Aid in fostering a church environment that is friendly, caring, and that reflects the vision of the church to “Be the Family of God and bring others into God’s Family”
Trinity College role
Trinity College is the largest ministry of GBC, catering to students from Prep through to Year 12. Currently Trinity College has a School Chaplain who co-ordinates pastoral care and various programs within the school to support the vision and mission of the school. The successful applicant will report directly to the School Principal, and will work closely with the existing school chaplain. The key responsibilities for this role are:
- Co-ordinate and run programs in conjunction with School Chaplain
- Build rapport with staff, students & families of Trinity College
Role Requirements/Qualifications
- Demonstrate a proven track record with and passion for Youth Ministry
- Have appropriate qualifications, or undertaking work towards obtaining them
- Registered or able to be registered with Queensland Baptists
- Good communication skills
- Computer literacy & organisational skills
