The Bayside Young Adults Ministry Leader is primarily responsible for providing high-level support and assistance to the Pastoral Care Pastor in the spiritual development of young adults at Bayside Church across two campuses.
They will be responsible for forming a dynamic team that is responsible for the development of strong, modern ministry initiatives that seek to build young adults spiritual growth. The Young Adults Ministry includes pastoral care, running of events and Connect Groups.
Selection Criteria
- A relevant tertiary or professional qualification or experience in Theology or Ministry
- A relevant and specialised knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of young adult programs
- An understanding of Christian doctrine and be able to communicate these to young adults in a culturally relevant way
- A high-degree of pastoral care gifting
- An ability to spiritually lead and oversee Bayside Young Adults Leadership Team
- Be willing to generate and put forward creative ideas and be a part of the process to see those ideas come to fruition.
- An ability to carry out administrative duties
- Demonstrated high-level accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with youth/ young adults and liaise effectively with a diverse range of staff members and volunteers
- A high level of organisational skills to ensure effective completion of tasks within deadlines and the ability to undertake a variety of tasks simultaneously
- An ability to work independently and to contribute as a member of a busy team
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a flexible and adaptable attitude
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Please note: Currently we are advertising two part time positions – one in young adults and the other as Men’s Minister. We acknowledge that there is the potential for both these areas to be covered by one person, which could be a full time position.
